Box and knotless are two techniques for the same protective style: individual braids with kanekalon, same price by length and thickness. The only difference is how the root is worked, and we decide that on the day of the service, not when you book.
Box vs knotless
- Box: a knot at the start of each section; classic, durable look.
- Knotless: kanekalon is fed in gradually from your own hair; flatter root, less tension, lighter feel.
If you’re unsure, I’ll advise in person based on your hair, hairline and the look you want.
How does the session work?
- Prep: Clean hair (wash beforehand or we sort it together)
- Sections: Mapped to the thickness you chose
- Technique: Box or knotless as agreed that day
- Finish: Ends sealed and the style shaped
- Aftercare: Written instructions so it lasts longer

Box or knotless, which should I choose? +
Same family of individual braids with the same price matrix (length × thickness). The only difference is the root technique: box starts with a knot; knotless feeds kanekalon in gradually (lighter at the root). We confirm together on the day of the appointment.
Does the price change with the technique? +
No. Box and knotless share the same price. The amount depends on the length and thickness you choose when booking.
How long do they last? +
Between 4 and 8 weeks with proper care. I give detailed aftercare instructions at the end of the session.
Can I wash my hair with the braids in? +
Yes. Ideally every 7–10 days with diluted shampoo, applied gently without rubbing.
What does the price include? +
Kanekalon (synthetic hair) and aftercare instructions. In salon or at home (+€20 travel within 30 km).
